Our Story
Victorious Women was envisioned over forty years ago after a group of ladies from eastern Kentucky attended a WinSome Women retreat in Winona Lake, Indiana. They had a dream to offer a similar retreat in the Appalachian area: a time where ladies could be strengthened by the Word and return home renewed and refreshed in Christ, impacting their families, churches, and communities. God strengthened these desires, and after much prayer, the ministry of Victorious Women was born.
The first retreat was held at Natural Bridge State Resort Park in March 1984, with nearly 150 women from four states attending. Two years later, the ministry moved its retreats to its present location, the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in Paintsville.
Through the years, God has continued to bless and honor the obedience of those women to His calling, and many have been strengthened in the Word of God.
