Our History

Victorious Women was envisioned over forty years ago after a group of ladies from eastern Kentucky attended a WinSome Women retreat in Winona Lake, Indiana. They had a dream to offer a similar retreat in the Appalachian area:  a time where ladies could be strengthened by the Word and return home renewed and refreshed in Christ, impacting their families, churches, and communities. God strengthened these desires, and after much prayer, the ministry of Victorious Women was born.

The first retreat was held at Natural Bridge State Resort Park in March 1984, with nearly 150 women from four states attending. Two years later, Victorious Women moved their retreats to its present location, the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in Paintsville.

Through the years, God has continued to bless and honor the obedience of those women to His calling, and many have been strengthened in the Word of God.

Costs of the Retreat

Victorious Women, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry not supported by any church group or organization.

Our retreat prices are based on the costs of our facility and providing godly speakers and musicians. We offer a range of pricing options, from all-inclusive to attending just one day. If you have any questions about our conference packages, we are happy to answer them.

Our registration fees do not cover all our expenses, so we have an opportunity for attendees to donate with a freewill offering during the retreat. We also receive donations from staff and attendees throughout the year, which help cover expenses. In addition to administrative expenses and the costs associated with the retreat, Victorious Women also supports two missionary families with close connections to the ministry.
